Partners of the GameIN – Gamified and Digital Methods for Youth Participation Erasmus+ project gathered in Palermo, Italy, from 6–9 May 2026 for the project’s final international seminar, hosted by Libera Palermo. The meeting brought together partner organisations from Finland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Estonia and Italy to reflect on the project’s achievements, strengthen collaboration, and explore the future of gamified youth participation in Europe.

The first days of the seminar focused on project coordination, evaluation and dissemination. Partners reviewed the overall impact of the project, communication reach, social media campaigns, field testing activities and the development of Gamie.org, a digital platform collecting gamified and digital methods designed to strengthen youth participation and engagement.
Participants also worked collaboratively on report co-creation, discussed project outcomes and exchanged experiences gathered throughout the implementation of the project. The meeting created space not only for strategic planning and evaluation, but also for networking, intercultural exchange and strengthening long-term cooperation between organisations working in the fields of youth participation, social innovation and gamification.
A key highlight of the seminar was the GameIN Final Online Seminar, which gathered more than 30 participants online from different European countries. During the webinar, partners presented the project’s key achievements, practical methods and innovative approaches developed throughout the project.

Participants were introduced to Gamie.org and explored how gamified and digital tools can support active youth involvement, inclusion and civic participation. The seminar also featured the presentation of the winning concept from the GameIN Youth Participation Design Hackathon, where young participants developed creative solutions aimed at encouraging youth engagement through gamification.
The event concluded with an open discussion on the future of gamification in youth work and the importance of creating participation methods that are engaging, accessible and relevant to young people today.
Beyond the formal programme, the Palermo seminar reflected the spirit of the GameIN project itself, combining creativity, collaboration, digital innovation and youth work energy to rethink how young people can participate more actively in society.

GameIN is an Erasmus+ co-funded project focused on developing gamified and digital methods that strengthen youth participation and engagement across Europe.
