DigiSkill Webinar Explores the Human Side of Remote and International Teamwork

On 22 May 2026, Youth Power successfully hosted the webinar “Soft Skills in a Digital World: What Actually Matters in Remote and Global Teams,” bringing together more than 70 participants from different countries for an interactive discussion on communication, collaboration and teamwork in digital environments.

The webinar was facilitated by Anna Rodríguez Casadevall, consultant, trainer and educator specialised in intercultural communication and collaboration in international environments. Through practical examples and interactive discussions, participants explored how soft skills influence the way people work, communicate and build trust in remote and hybrid teams.

Throughout the session, participants reflected on important topics such as communication clarity, adaptability, active listening, emotional awareness and self-management in digital spaces. The webinar highlighted how many challenges in online collaboration are not necessarily technical but deeply connected to human interaction and communication styles.

One of the strongest messages shared during the webinar was that successful digital teamwork depends not only on platforms and digital tools, but also on trust, inclusion, psychological safety and the ability to communicate clearly across different cultures and working styles.

The session also created space for active participation, allowing attendees to exchange experiences, reflect on their own teamwork habits and discuss the realities of working in international and remote environments.

Activities such as this webinar continue to strengthen the DigiSkill community by creating accessible international learning spaces where young people can develop digital competences, communication skills, leadership abilities and intercultural understanding.

The webinar was organised within the Erasmus+ DigiSkill project, a Virtual Exchange initiative focused on strengthening digital competences, project management, entrepreneurship, leadership and international collaboration among young people and youth workers across Europe and beyond.
