How Social Media Shapes Professional Identity and Networking

On 10 March 2026, the DigiSkill project hosted an interactive online dialogue titled “Building Your Brand and Network Through Social Media,” bringing together more than 50 participants from different countries for an engaging discussion on digital communication, personal branding and professional networking.

The session featured Iskra Rizovska, who shared practical insights on how young people, professionals, and organisations can strategically use social media platforms to strengthen their online presence, expand professional networks and communicate more authentically in digital spaces.

Throughout the dialogue, participants explored important topics such as:

  • building a strong personal or organisational brand online,
  • using platforms like LinkedIn and Instagram for professional networking,
  • creating authentic and engaging digital content,
  • and developing long-term professional relationships through online communication.

The online dialogue also encouraged active participation and exchange of experiences, allowing participants to reflect on the challenges and opportunities connected to maintaining a professional presence on social media today.

One of the key messages highlighted during the session was that successful digital communication is not only about visibility, but also about authenticity, consistency and meaningful connections.

The DigiSkill online dialogues continue to create valuable international spaces for discussion, learning, and knowledge exchange on topics connected to digital skills, communication, entrepreneurship and professional development.

This activity was organised within the Erasmus+ DigiSkill project, which aims to strengthen digital competences, intercultural collaboration and professional skills among young people across Europe and beyond.
