On December 6, 2024, the SMART Conference was successfully organized to highlight the impact of digital tools developed within the “Digital Transformation of Inclusive Youth Work” project. The event focused on fostering SMART and green transitions while providing a platform to showcase project results, engage stakeholders, and promote Erasmus+ opportunities.

Key Discussions
The main conference gathered 20 participants from diverse sectors, including NGOs, educational institutions, and governmental bodies. The agenda featured:
- A presentation of the VIC platform and key project results.
- A discussion on the relevance of digital tools in inclusive youth work.
- Promotion of the upcoming “Digitools in Youth Work” online international conference.
- An overview of the Erasmus+ programme, its website, and the opportunities available for young people and organizations.
The discussions emphasized the importance of digital transformation in youth work and how innovative tools can enhance accessibility, inclusion, and sustainability within the sector.
Following inquiries from some of our regular participants, an additional session was held on December 10, 2024, as part of extended DTIYW outreach and promotion efforts. This event provided an opportunity to engage a wider audience, particularly international students looking for employment and integration in Sweden. The session sparked meaningful discussions on how digital platforms can support migrant youth and young professionals in their career development.

Diversity & Engagement
Many participants had a migrant background, with some having lived in Sweden for an extended period, while others had recently arrived. Additionally, international students seeking employment in Sweden attended, showing a keen interest in using digital resources for career and social integration. Most attendees were between 20 and 35 years old, reflecting the demographic commonly involved in youth work and the NGO sector in Sweden.
The SMART Conference successfully highlighted the role of digital innovation in youth work and reinforced the need for inclusive and accessible tools. The insights and feedback from participants will contribute to the upcoming Digitools in Youth Work conference in December, ensuring that the digital transformation of youth work continues to evolve and support young people across Europe.
